Thoroughbred Aftercare drew Ellen’s attention a few years ago and has been growing ever since. Her latest large scale painting on this subject took over a year to complete.
The composition is in flag-like format with horses in each stripe & alludes to how horses so hugely helped build America, and in some states, it’s economy. The blues and greens of water and grass emerge as stripes and we pay homage to the lines of horses standing against the golden glow of sun. They have served us so well and we must do our part to serve them back.
A portion of this 30”x24” poster (which is a standard frame size) will go to THOROUGHBRED AFTERCARE ALLIANCE for $50.
